Tourist Spots

“To see Paris and die” is not about us. Paris is a city to go back to! In different seasons, with different moods, in different companies, with different plans to see and feel this city from all sides.

Champs-Elysées, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Cathedral of Our Lady of Paris, the Orsay Museum, the Sacré Kehr Cathedral, the Moulin Rouge Cabaret.

That’s why we offer a short digest “Top 10 places”, in which we will tell you where to go in the capital of France and what to look in Paris to make the first impression and want to return here.

The Louvre

The treasure trove of world art masterpieces should be on the list of your tourist must-have, but it is necessary to realize that the day on inspection of one of the largest and richest museums of the world is not enough.

It makes sense to get acquainted with the list of exhibits, as well as temporary and permanent exhibitions, and to make your own route “Louvre – what to see”. We advise you to buy a ticket to the Louvre (or rather a one-day pass) in advance, as the queue to the museum has long been a separate attraction in Paris.

It is easy and simple to do: either in the Tourist Center in the center of the capital of France in two minutes walk from the Louvre, or to order tickets online (however, there is one nuance – you will need to determine the exact date and time of visiting the museum).

A day ticket will allow, firstly, to avoid standing in a multi-hour queue, and secondly, to repeatedly enter and leave the Louvre during the day. And another moment: Tuesday is a day off.

The Eiffel Tower

To be in the most romantic city in the world and not to visit its main attraction? Nonsense! The Eiffel Tower in Paris is an absolute symbol of France. Of course, you can limit yourself to a sightseeing tour and just admire it at different times of the day (with evening lighting it certainly makes an indelible impression).

But it is priceless to be in the thick of events and see Paris from the observation deck. Yes, queues for tickets to several ticket offices at once are quite impressive. Firstly, the number of passengers accommodated in the elevators is limited, and secondly, the elevators themselves rise in different ways: there are those that go straight to the top (115 m), and there are those that stop at the second level (57 m).

Accordingly, the length of the queue is proportional to the number of people who want to be on a particular floor. However, if you want to go up to the tower on foot, there is almost no queue here. The price of tickets again depends on the end point of your rendezvous.

Save time (by the way, it should be noted that there is a schedule of the latest flights to the upper observation deck and the second level) and nerves will help you to book tickets online.

However, do not rule out the possibility of taking a tour of the Eiffel Tower – this is a good option.

The Champs-Elysées

If you are looking for the heart of Paris, it is here. It is also a paradise for shopaholics and fashionistas, because every meter here is soaked in the history of the most famous fashion houses.

Orsay Museum

A real Mecca of art lovers. The museum is located in the former railway station building, which as a result of a series of historical twists and turns into a home for paintings by Van Gogh, Cezanne, Monet, Renoir and other brilliant painters.

The museum is considered to be one of the most visited museums in the world, so there are plenty of people who want to enjoy the works of famous masters.

If you book tickets in advance and online, you will avoid the need to spend time standing in line (this is, you know, a nice bonus when you plan to explore the maximum number of museums in Paris, and the duration of stay in the French capital is short).

Notre Dame, or the Cathedral of Our Lady of Paris

It is rightly called one of the most beautiful temples in the world.

Stunning Gothic architecture with incredible stained-glass windows, glorifying poets, inspiring writers to create immortal works of art is in itself an independent character, a witness to the historical events of Paris.

Entrance to the cathedral is completely free (except for days of sacred music concerts).

Moulin Rouge Cabaret

Excluding a visit to a world-famous cabaret from your Paris tour would be rash. You can choose the most convenient time for you – in the cabaret there are two shows every day – at 21:00 and 23:00, or just come for dinner, which begins at 19:00. The ticket price includes a dinner with champagne.

Tickets to the Moulin Rouge in Paris can be easily booked online in advance. However, there is a nuance: cabaret tickets are sold without seats, no matter where you buy the ticket. But the policy of the institution is that the client will find the best place. Each show is almost two hours of real phantasmagoria.

Yes! Keep in mind that in jeans, shorts, t-shirts and slaps you will not be allowed into the institution: the main dress code – elegance. Also, there is an age limit, so that kids under 6 years of age will not be able to bring with them.

Lido Cabaret

While the Moulin Rouge is considered a classic, the Lido is a modern interpretation of cabaret. Lido de Paris is located on the Champs-Elysées and also offers two shows every day: at 21:00 and 23:00.

The show lasts just under two hours, but the administration recommends a minimum of half an hour before the show. The dress code is the same as in the Moulin Rouge: no jeans, shorts, slaps, beach sarafans, etc., and no seating at the tables.

There are many ticket options – with champagne (from glass to ½ bottle), wine, dinner, birthday party, etc. You can also buy tickets to the Lido in Paris online and better in advance.

Montparnasse Tower

If you want the best photos of the Eiffel Tower, the ideal place to do so is Montparnasse Tower, which offers an unbelievable view as the main symbol of Paris. In addition, there is a great restaurant, “Sky of Paris”, which will make your stay at the height of the 56th floor even more enjoyable. Book a table (as well as buy tickets for the tower itself) is better online and in advance.

Sightseeing tour

There are plenty of options to stroll around Paris, and one of the most popular is a double-decker bus tour around the French capital. You can choose a completely individual route that will include those sights that are of interest to you. In addition, you can organize a tour in Russian. You can book a tour for one or two days online.

Cruise on the Seine River

Another variant of the sightseeing tour is a romantic cruise on the main river of Paris – the Seine.

Especially spectacular tour in the evening. Dinner by candlelight on the background of the lights of the French capital – 2.5 hours of pure aesthetic pleasure! However, if you prefer a cruise in the daytime, you can go by day and combine it with lunch.
