Lazarus Ministries

Lazarus Ministries at Grand Avenue Temple exists to provide for the unmet needs of the urban core of Kansas City by focusing on needed services in our diverse and changing downtown community. For over 15 years, we have affected many lives and have had a profound impact by providing compassionate, humanitarian services to those in desperate need.

Lazarus Ministries at Grand Avenue Temple is supported by donations from individuals, companies and foundations.

Lazarus Ministries focuses on the spiritual life by providing emergency services including food, clothing, medical care and shelter. We seek to provide these services through a loving and faithful environment which builds community through the experience of God’s Love.

The mission of Lazarus Ministries at Grand Avenue Temple is to offer unlimited compassion while providing for the unmet needs of Kansas City’s urban core through a volunteer program which allows the opportunity for interpreting service as an expression of faith.
